Do you execute marketing, like social media, websites, or graphic design?
No. My role is to provide strategic leadership, not day-to-day marketing execution.
I help organizations make better marketing decisions, develop strategy, build stronger marketing teams, and provide experienced leadership. If execution is needed, I'm happy to work alongside your existing team or agency, or help you identify the right resources.
How do I know if I need you or a marketing agency?
It depends on the challenge you're trying to solve.
If you already have a clear strategy and simply need someone to create or execute marketing materials, an agency or freelancer may be the right fit.
If you're unsure what your marketing should look like, need stronger leadership, want to evaluate an agency, or need help building a marketing function, that's where I come in.
In many cases, I work alongside agencies to provide strategic direction and ensure everyone is working toward the same goals.
Do you work with internal marketing teams?
Absolutely. Some clients have an experienced marketing department. Others have one marketing coordinator wearing ten hats. Others rely entirely on outside agencies and freelancers.
I work with whatever structure you have today and help you build the one you'll need tomorrow.
What types of organizations do you work with?
I work with businesses and nonprofits of all sizes, although most of my clients are small to mid-sized organizations that need experienced marketing leadership without hiring another full-time executive.
What does a typical engagement look like?
Every engagement is different. Some clients bring me in for a specific project or strategic initiative. Others need help building a marketing function, mentoring a team, or evaluating outside partners. Some retain me as an ongoing advisor or interim marketing leader.
We'll determine the right approach based on your goals and what your organization needs.
Can you help us hire or evaluate marketing staff or agencies?
Yes! This is actually one of my favorite parts of the work.
I regularly help organizations define marketing roles, interview candidates, evaluate agencies and vendors, determine what should stay in-house versus be outsourced, and build marketing teams that are aligned with the organization's goals.
Do you offer Fractional CMO services?
Yes, when it's the right fit. Some organizations need experienced marketing leadership for a season but don't need or want a full-time executive. In those situations, I can serve in an interim or fractional leadership role, providing strategic direction while working alongside your team and outside partners.
